im finally starting a blog so that i can keep everyone up to date on my life. i love reading nicole’s so i figured i should star one also…
it’s kind of stressing me out though bc so many things have happened in the past month and a half since ive been to japan- and i feel like i cant get it all down. which i wont. its crazy that i’ve been here already for that long. it has flown by. there have been some serious ups and downs- as is always the case with me! so no surprise
lets start simple- today was an amazing day. i got out of school (i get out at 1230 on fridays) and came home and did some serious napping then cleaned alot for amy (amy is my friend who i met the last time i was in tokyo visitting shawn). Amy is leaving japan in a week after being here for a year teaching, she lives in Osaka (which is 3 hours from me by train- i visitted her and shawn and my friend john a couple weekends ago) anyways, she had hardly ever seen the country (i live in the country) which is amazing to me bc that is all my life is (for better and for worse). anyways she wanted to experience it before she left. we went to the sotomo caves (see below) then went with my neighbors friend (a wonderful lady named Michiko who often makes me amazing vegan japanese food! so cute) to my town’s biggest festival of the year. it was really an amazing day- so anyone thats thinking about visitting, should

tmw im going to kyoto, and monday i have off. thats all for now bc its bedtime.
